...Cup vet and now long-time friend, Tom "Curly" Whidden. Tom was tactician for Dennis Conner through their many Cup wins. We shared a beer and a few stories -- old and new -- together a few weeks back at the Farr 40 Worlds in Sydney, where he was tactician for John Thompson, Jr.

Remains to be seen if Dennis and/or Tom will be involved in AC 32, but in this game one has learned to never say "never."
